Makaila's class danced 2 dances. The jazz dance was to the song "Big Bad Wolf" and the ballet is "Toy Soldier." She loved performing!

Fall Festival

Makaila's preschool had a fall festival in October. The kids were dress up as farmers, cowboys, or cowgirls. Makaila chose to be a cowgirl :) The festival's activities included a craft, bobbing for an apple, making a carmel apple, a cookie walk, and face/hand painting. Then we had hot dogs and hamburgers for lunch with ice cream cones for dessert.

Grandpa's Birthday

We celebrated my dad's birthday with Sunday lunch at Claim Jumper. Then we went back to my parents' house for some opening of gifts and yummy Italian Cream Cheese cake (made by my mom). Makaila helped grandpa with the cards and Elijah took over tearing the wrapping paper off the gifts.

Grandma Kay's 75th Surprise Birthday

Aunt Linda, Aunt Jackie, and her son, Zane, came out to AZ to celebrate Grandma Kay's 75th Birthday. Grandma's friends and family came to share in her surprise party. Of course, the kids had to help with blowing out the candles on the cake.

Makaila the Ballerina

This is Makaila all dressed up for her 1st day at dance class. Her dance class includes ballet, jazz, tap, and tumbling. Of course, she is soooo HAPPY to finally be a ballerina :)

Papa's Birthday

We celebrated Papa's birthday at 5 & Diner. We enjoyed a great dinner and some yummy birthday cake (cheesecake and carrot cake). The kids loved the "Happy Birthday" song, and helped Papa open gifts.

Makaila's 1st day of preschool

Makaila is loving preschool. She goes M,W,F from 9-noon. She is meeting new friends, learning to write her name, and enjoys the dress-up center. So far, the teacher has taught letters A-D and numbers 0-3. They do crafts, songs, and stories to apply what they have learned. Her class had a teddy bear picnic and are preparing songs to sing for Preschool Sunday.

My own Little Mermaid

One of Makaila's favorite princesses is Ariel, The Little Mermaid. Here she is singing her favorite song from the movie. What a performer!
